“Works great, read instructions. While being leery about UV skin damage from this lamp, it seems minimal according to experts if you apply a 30 SPF first, so I went ahead. And, I keep most of my hand OUTSIDE of the device as shown in the photo. I really enjoy this convenience and it works well to cure. In fact, this is my first self manicure to not get nicked or smudged. During drying, there is a little warmth felt from the lights. It seems this single hand size device is actually best because while drying the first hand, it forces you to let the other hand wait for a minute before drying it. And, the first hand waits for a minute while the second hand is being polished. So, both hands always air dry a minute first without having to remember to do that as recommended by instructions. Also, it’s important to read the instructions that say to plug the cord into the device BEFORE plugging into the wall. Finally, some reviews mention removing the bottom plate. That plate is designed to provide reflection so the lights get all sides of the nails, and to protect surfaces. So keep it attached. I did not notice motion detection during use, but it does detect motion while putting the hand in which turns it on automatically with the 60 sec timer. “Cures Fast! Time will tell if the polish will last Ok I received this lamp today and I’m pleasantly surprised. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I bought Beetles nail polish and did my manicure and started with the base, cured for 60 seconds, one coat of nail polish, cured for 60 seconds (repeated this step) cured for another 60 seconds (but this time twice) and finally the top coat and cured for 2 cycles of 60 seconds. It was nice and dry and did not smudge. The lamp is large enough for the whole hand with room to spare.
