We built a base for them using a 12 foot 4×6 piece of wood for the top and then four pieces of 8 foot long 4×4. My husband pressure treated the wood and ordered brackets here on Amazon and then put it all together.Assembling the swings was not difficult. We keep a strap on one leg of the base so when the kids are done swinging, they can mount them up to avoid leaves getting mushy on them or animals getting on them and/or peeing.The kids stay out for hours playing on the swings. “Easy to assemble, seems sturdy UPDATE: 3 YEARS LATER. UPDATE: we’ve had this swing for three years now. It is still in good condition (we take it down during winter months). It is by far the most used on our set that has slots for 5 swings.Very basic product review, if anything changes, I will update the review. As I have owned this swing for less than one hour.For starters, it came super quickly, thank you Amazon Prime.Secondly: the instructions recommend two adults to assemble it. This is not 100% necessary. I’m a 5’2″ female, and I got this swing together in under 10 minutes. Super easy.Thirdly: it seems pretty sturdy. My children haven’t yet seen this swing, because it came while they are at school (and it was actually a late birthday present for ME, from my husband). I assembled it, attached it to our rather large Beast of a swing set (replacing an infant swing that we no longer need), and did try it out. Smooth, relaxing, nice. (Do I have to share?)Fourthly: I like the solid seating. My husband originally ordered a similar swing with rope seating, and I quickly sent that one back, due to concerns that little arms/legs would become entangled in the ropes and injury would result.One thing I did notice that I hope does NOT become a problem, there is a small fray in one of the ropes. “Part of our homemade swingset. Easy to build time will tell durability The material seems heavy duty and well made. The padded, hollow metal tube seems adequate. The connectors included locking nuts which is good and the other metal hardware seemed solid. Connected it to a “YARKOR Swing Swivel” and then extension chain to the top of our homemade swingset. Very stable. Only concern is durability. We’ll bring it in for the winter.EDIT:In less than two weeks this has become our grandkids favorite swing. Instructions were very simple to follow and was easy to clip into on our existing Lifetime playset.While this does not affect the use or durability of the product, the one thing that was difficult to stay on yhr swing were the rope flags. The elastic on the inside and and the velcro made it hard to wrap around the rope. I ended removing them.Overall, it looks like a good product.
