“Bigger than I thought… Nice blender…VERY heavy and LARGE…the only other Ninja I’ve had is the small size and I was very surprised at the size of this as you can see by the picture…but, it does a great job..the THREE blades on the central column do the job…has little arrows on it so you know where to put the top on the motor unit and where to place the top as well on the upper part..also has a pouring lip with a built in cover to stop anything coming out when mixing….overall, I think this is going to be a great addition to my kitchen.Update: just used it for the first time..all went well but the square design of the upper container leaves a bit to be desired…had to use a scraper to push the material back down as it was getting stuck in the corners of the container…a round one would have made more sense…something I didn’t think about when I bought it…ah well…live and learn…” – R. “This one actually crushes ice! I’ve had blenders in the past but very few actually crush ice. I use the cup to blend my ice coffees. “It can blend coconuts! My main reason for buying the blender is to blend coconuts. I am a Caribbean woman and lots of our dishes involve coconut milk. I totally dislike the can milk. “Makes quick work of ice. I had my doubts at first because of the plastic, square container, but now I’m a believer. It almost instantly processes ice or anything else frozen or otherwise. The spout is really functional. My old one dribbled all over when using the spout. This one pours easily with no mess. The square container is not ideal, but it is sturdy and held up in the bottom rack of the dishwasher. However, it doesn’t fit in the fridge, and it’s harder to get thick stuff out with a rubber spatula. I’m pleased with the purchase but took off one star because of the square plastic container. “Blends well, arrived unbroken with package damaged, very loud. I have used this a couple times to make smoothies. It didn’t blend the kale completely (there were still little pieces left), but it still tasted good and could’ve been user error. The package arrived very damaged and I was nervous to see if the blender was damaged but it was perfectly fine and not broken.
