Lodge 6 Quart Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven with Lid with Dual Handles for Marinate, Cook, Bake, Refrigerate and Serve

  • YOUR GO-TO DUTCH OVEN: A flawless pairing of form and function that doesn’t quit. The Lodge Dutch Oven not only makes your kitchen look good but is an enameled cast iron classic great for preparing and serving memorable meals. Broil, braise, bake or roast your favorite meals in the oven up to 500 Degree F.
  • WHAT IS PORCELAIN ENAMEL ON CAST IRON. It is glass that becomes bonded to the cast iron at high temperatures. A particulate of glass, called frit, is applied to the cast iron vessel and then baked at temperatures between 1200 and 1400° F. The glass frit melts and fuses to the cast iron, forming a bond. Porcelain enamel on cast iron is heat tolerant and impervious to water and other consumables.
  • EASY TO COOK AND CLEAN: The porcelain enameled interior has a smooth finish that minimizes sticking, promotes caramelization and resists staining. Although enameled cast iron is dishwasher safe, hand washing with warm soapy water and a nylon scrub brush is recommended to keep your Dutch Oven in tip top shape
  • HEAT RETENTION: The cast iron vessel has superior heat distribution and retention, evenly heating throughout both the bottom and sidewalls. The tightly fitting lid seals in moisture for scrumptious pot roast, stews or a large batch of beans. Our heat retention also reduces the amount of energy needed for cooking.

“So Pretty, Great Pot. Let’s face it, we all want a Le Creuset but this for the price is a great bargain. Sturdy, cooks up nicely and very easy to clean. I leave it out because I love how it looks. Great blue! I expect several years of use from this.” – LizK (Source: Amazon)

“Beautiful Dutch Oven for Indoor Use. I’ve had a Dutch Oven on my personal wish list for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger. I was originally looking at the Lodge 5 quart cast iron (not enameled), but then saw this Lodge 6 quart enameled version. The extra capacity gives me slightly more use options, and it’s so pretty. I ordered the blue, which is beautiful. I even got a great deal by ordering a “like new” from Amazon resale, and it arrived in pristine condition. Even at regular price it’s more attainable than some of the other brands. I’m loving it with just one exception. I’ve watched so many TV cooking shows where someone is using an enameled Dutch Oven on an outdoor grill. We use our outdoor kitchen a lot, so I was anticipating flexing this Dutch Oven between indoor and outdoor use. The online product write up mentions “oven” use and being safe up to 500F, which is hotter than anything we’d be cooking in the Dutch Oven outside. However, the booklet that comes with the Dutch Oven clearly states it is NOT for use on outdoor grills, and in fact, using it on an outdoor grill is something that would void the lifetime warranty. So that was a bit of a bummer, and I’ll be enjoying this beauty indoors only. Maybe I’ll keep that cast iron one (not enameled) on the wish list for outdoor cooking.” – Carolina Shopper (Source: Amazon)

“Color FYI. I ordered the Pumpkin color and was expecting orange, but the color that showed up is more like a peachy color. I’m sure it’ll cook just the same but and FYI for anyone else ordering the Pumpkin.” – Kindle Customer (Source: Amazon)

“10 stars! Love at first sight! This arrived quickly and was well protected in transit. It’s stunning. I washed with mild soap, nylon brush and water, dried it and baked a Dutch oven bread at 475°F for its maiden voyage in my oven. (Recipe by Jill Winger, Old Fashioned On Purpose). Very well made and heavy. Superior quality. Perfection!” – AJ (Source: Amazon)

“Perfect for baking artisanal bread. I love love LOVE this Lodge 6-quart Dutch oven for baking bread! It accomodates a 500-g loaf nicely and can go into a 500 degree F empty to pre-heat. The red color is gorgeous, and note how the color darkens (second photos) when heated and lightens when it cools (third photo); very helpful in knowing when it is too hot to handle. I bought it just a few days ago but have already baked several loaves. I’ve also used it for making risotto and stews on the stove top. It distributes heat beautifully, is easy to clean, and I can’t imagine how I’ve lived without it for the last several decades. Comparable Dutch ovens made by Le Creuset or Emile Henry cost upwards of $300, so $79 is a bargain. It arrived well-packed and in perfect condition. I am thrilled with my purchase!” – Jennifer P. “Beautiful and functional. I use this mostly for bread and making my 2 -ingredient pizza. I love this. Keeps a good crust on my bread. Looking forward to getting more recipes to use this with.” – Samantha Miranda (Source: Amazon)

“Fantastic Dutch oven! Absolutely love this enamel cast iron 5.6 L Dutch oven: fantastic size for soups and stews. I sauté, bake and cook in it weekly. Very versatile and super easy to clean too.” – Sherri (Source: Amazon)

“Absolutely love! First off this color is gorgeous! It’s always risky buying white cooking products but warm soapy water with the gentle scrubber side of a sponge got everything off after cooking. I used it to made sour dough bread and it came out amazing (as you can see in the photos)! It was packaged very well, no chips or scratches. It’s larger than I expected but that’s a good thing. I highly recommend buying this.” – Kate (Source: Amazon)

“Obsessed. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this color but I’m glad I took a chance and got it because it is so beautiful. It’s a super dark shiny metallic gray, it looks modern and bold. I love it! It looks even better in person than in photos. Came in perfect shape too. Can’t wait to use it!” – Cassie (Source: Amazon)

“I Wish I’d Bought It Sooner! I absolutely love my Lodge Dutch Oven! This is quickly becoming my favorite piece of cookware. I bought it 3 months ago, I’ve used it over half a dozen times, and it looks just like new! It cleans so easily (simply soak in soapy hot water). Definitely recommend to anyone looking to round out their cookware collection!” – Kathleen Schellenberg (Source: Amazon)
