“It IS easy to assemble! THE NEED:We are renters in need of a catio solution that is easily transportable, lightweight, and that will allow our cats to spend time outdoors in a safe and secure environment. Most solutions I looked at weighed between 50-100 lbs while this one weighs less than 12.THE SET UP:There was a fear that this would be a rage inducing assembly resulting in a flimsy catio solution. I was wrong. It will take you about an hour to an hour and a half to assemble. Find yourself a nice big space to work with. I did mine outside in the yard, and was able to fit it through the door with no problem once completed. There are 45 cams and 89 rods plus the accessories inside; there is no difference in size between the cams and the rods so don’t worry about separating them based on any numbers or markings that you might see on the items. The biggest challenge is the instructions because they just aren’t very clear. There are an equal number of cams and rods on the TOP, the BOTTOM and the BACK. The interior is a little more tricky because there are spaces that DO NOT use cams and bars so use that picture on back to follow instructions…” – Nemo Roman (Source: Amazon)
“Best buy, cats and I love this Catio. This is the second Catio we’ve had. Both cats love it. Strong quality material. Holds up to kitty claws. Heavy duty zipper. Access door to ‘retrieve’ kitty when it’s time to come in. They love being in this most of the day, morning until evening. We ran the tube to a screen door insert with door flap. Inserted the Catio tube end through door flap and duct taped. We just open and close sliding door to let them out of keep them in. We reconfigured the levels of Catio to suit what we felt our cat needs better which is what is so nice about this, so many options to change it up.” – Matthew L. Bosse (Source: Amazon)
“EASY TO ASSEMBLE AND THEY LOVE IT! I almost didn’t buy because of reviews but I’m so glad I did. I don’t know what people were having issues with. I put it together by looking at the picture on the front of the box. Didn’t need to open the directions it came with. It Took about 30 min. To completely put together. I read a lot of reviews about putting on the mesh. I turned it upside down and it went on in about 2 min with positioning it. It also came with spare parts! I’m very very very happy with this purchase! Will be buying tunnels next!” – Pamela anderson (Source: Amazon)
“My Cats favorite purchase. I’ve got 4 indoor cats and if you were to ask them they would say this is the best thing I’ve ever bought them. My cats now sit at the back door every morning and beg to go out. It’s become a part of our morning routine. They get to enjoy the outdoors safely and I get to enjoy them with my morning coffee. I ended up buying the 3 way tunnel to add to it and oh boy was that a great decision. This setup is cat and cat lady approved.” – Ashlee Walker (Source: Amazon)
“Our cats love it! Tricky to set up. We wanted to give our indoor cats a little more stimulation, so we bought this Catio and have it on our back porch. The cats really enjoy being out there, and in fact, our most shy cat will now go to our back door and beg to be let out.Putting the frame together is very easy, but getting the netting around the frame is a really difficult job that requires at least two people. The netting is supposed to be really tight, so that’s good, but it took quite a bit to assemble.” – Scott B (Source: Amazon)
“So far so good… When you open the package and see all the pieces, it is a bit overwhelming, but putting the catio together was surprisingly easy and went very quickly. While I assembled the catio, my friend built the special door that the tunnel would connect with (a cube is on the other side of the door for extra security). For a tent-like structure, it is surprisingly sturdy and secure. My one complaint can be seen in the picture. There is a piece of wood to the left of the door. The makers didn’t include poles for this area because it is the ‘sitting’ area. I don’t think it is large enough to really sit inside and I’d rather have the extra support, so we put a piece of wood until we can get the right size pipe. We’ll also put an extra pipe in the other spot that wasn’t supported – so, 2 pieces of pipes to fully support the catio. Aside from that, I’m very impressed!” – Kelly J. (Source: Amazon)
“Perfect catio for a small apartment balcony. I deliberated over buying a collapsible metal catio because I wasn’t sure how well mesh would hold up under Gizmo’s Freddy Kruger claws, and I didn’t want something that was difficult to assemble. I chose this one for its light weight and maneuverability and because it will fit through a 33-inch doorway.Assembly wasn’t hard at all, but you do have to pay attention to the photo on the box because the instructions aren’t always crystal clear. I finished assembly minus two poles and one connector until I realized I had put them where they weren’t required, even though having them there added extra rigidity to the frame. The location of the bed is a problem. It’s too high for the cat to get to without a surface higher than the floor to launch from. I may modify it and drop the bed down a level. Otherwise, this seems to be an ideal catio for a small apartment balcony so that kitty doesn’t try to jump from the 3rd floor.” – Desert Dave (Source: Amazon)
“Super easy to put together. As you can see I didn’t set it up per instructions. My cat , RED is young and can’t jump very high. My main point was for her to see the birds. So I changed it up a bit. Struggled a little with the mesh. I turned it upside down to put it on . If I was to do it again I would get the base done and then put the base inside the mesh. We love it. I bought the 10’ tunnel last month.” – R. Green (Source: Amazon)
