“BAG FOR EVERYTHING! I’ve been eyeing this bag for years, but I never bought it. Last week, I came across it again & based on the reviews, I finally decided to pull the trigger & purchase it. I’m SO glad I did. I got the green and I was a little nervous cause one review said the green was heinous and didn’t look like the pics, but I completely disagree. It’s an absolute beautiful green! I think it looks just like the color advertised. The bag itself seems really well made. Even though it’s vegan leather, it’s incredibly soft and durable. The stitching seems to be done well and the handles seem very sturdy. They’re a nice length too. Long enough for plus size women or if you’re wearing a fluffy coat that it can still fit over your shoulder. There’s one inside slip pocket & it seems to be sewn on well too. The bag is absolutely HUGE! Even though it’s oversized, it doesn’t feel too overly big. I think because it’s slouchy and can smoosh down to appear smaller if not filled. Most ppl are using this for a work bag, travel/overnight bag, diaper bag, grocery bag, etc. And it’s definitely perfect for all those things. But I personally LOVE big purses. “I was very surprised by the quality of the bag. I love this bag. I’m an interior designer and I drag samples, measuring tape and my MacAir. It’s so roomy. I’ve also used it for a quick weekend trip. “Madewell Everlane Tote Vibes. This bag has some similarities to the iconic Madewell Everlane Tote in the caramel brown color. It is a gloriously oversized tote — perfect as a work bag to carry umbrella, extra pair of shoes and lunch, and/or a travel/overnight bag. It’s not a handbag per se unless you like to carry a BIG bag. Some people do. I am one of those people — but even this bag is not one I’d carry on the daily unless I’m running errands from work or going to Bible study and don’t want to lug around books and notebook.What I didn’t like about it was the lining, it had a loosely fit black cloth lining which I wasn’t crazy about, as most linings rip over time unless they’re sewn in tightly and meticulously well, which is why at this price point I’d rather have it unlined. I was under the impression from the seller’s photos it would be unlined with raw vegan “leather” exposed, which was a big selling point for me. I asked the seller about it and they said they no longer carried the unlined version and actually have an upgraded lined version from the one I had and would send me one at no charge in a few weeks when it was available. They even told me to keep the original tote. The communication and customer service I received was impeccable.As promised, the seller sent the upgraded version of the bag within a couple weeks. I ended up not keeping the bags and immediately sent both bags back to the seller, unfortunately. Why? The black lining is a no for me, I think the contrast of colors between the brown exterior and the black interior cheapens the look and its difficult to find stuff. FYI, the lack of structure to the bag means you need to fill it otherwise it will just flop over.I still recommend the bag though, particularly for travel.
