“These are accent/landscape lights. They aren’t security lights. Some of these reviews! Ugh. I like this lights. The product photos with flames are a bit over-the-top…. Could have done without that nonsense. Please take a look at customer photos to see what they really look like. Two complaints mentioned (1) they are too small and (2) aren’t bright enough/not useful for security purposes. Ugh. The size is clearly stated in the product photos. And there is absolutely nothing in the description that mentions anything about security lighting. They are ACCENT lights– a nice, soft light.The only two things I would have liked to see to improve them:1. Yes, they are small (again, clearly shown in the product photos). That being said, they would look more elegant for a front walkway if they were bigger. As they are, they may be better suited for backyard accent lighting or garden or random landscape lighting. I’ll post a photo of them along our front walkway.2. The flickering is ok, but if you’re trying to recreate flames, a more random pattern would be easily programmed. As they are, they are more reminiscent of Christmas lights flickering than flames. I’ll include a video. I’d like to see a two-way switch– one option for flickering and one for steady.NEITHER of these things reduced my ratings though– they are what they are. The product description and other customer reviews clearly tell you what to expect.They are EXTREMELY easy to assemble. There are only four pieces to assemble per light, and they go together in seconds. For the ten lights I have, it took longer to unpack the box than it did to assemble them all. Took less than a minute to turn on and assemble all ten.They are similar to others we’ve bought before, but I can’t complain about the value. Seem to be of similar quality than others we’ve had that would typically last about two to three years. Of course, I can’t say that would be the case for these, so I’ll update the review after these go through a few seasons and some weather. But for the value… not bad so far at least. ;)” – M. W. “cute flickering solar lights. These are cute flickering lights. Good price for a pack of 12 ! They came very well packaged with an instruction booklet that is easy to understand. The assembly is super easy. literally 3 steps. The spikes are sturdy and strong so it is easy to push them in the ground. Love the design it matches our big solar torches. The one thing you need to know (if you didn’t read it) is that they are a bit on the smaller side. As seen on the pic the top is not quite 4 inches so not really something I would put up front but it is perfect for a backyard retreat. The light is soft and cozy not bright just perfect. It does mimic the flames. I think they look great in potted plants. But since it comes with 12 in the package there is enough to put them along your driveway or pathway if you prefer or even around trees. They are cute! So far they lasted couple of hours after sunset about 4-5 hours for sure.
