It saves so much time rather than doing the eggs on the stove! I do agree with others, I’m not a fan of the music that plays when it’s done cooking. I do like that you can stop the music by pressing the power button though.Something to be mindful of is the cooker doesn’t actually “cook” for the full duration. On the instructions, it references if you want hard boiled (and are cooking 4-6 eggs) the cook time is 16 mins to get that desired style. I put in the required amount of water and pushed the power button to start. I also then started a personal timer set at 16 minutes. “No loud alarm anymore. Easy to use. I purchased the smaller 6-egg unit in pale green. The “alarm” sounds like a tinkling bell—more like my iphone. I guess the manufacturer must have read the other reviews. Based on Amazon reviews, I added a tad more water, not much. Only one egg cracked a small amount. That particular egg peeled very easy like the others but has little air holes (see photo) maybe due to the crack.My reason for purchasing is (1) I have had all kinds of advice but never learned to peel eggs neatly, and (2) the machine struck me as an easier, cleaner, and safer way to make hard boiled eggs. They taste fine, like eggs.It is important to read directions as there a a couple things you MUST do or not do.
