“Too pretty to stick in a cabinet, high performance non-stick. I absolutely love these! First, they are remarkably attractive with a warm color and flowing shapes. They come packed with care in a treasure chest style hinged box. There is a well written and essential little guide book about how to care for them.In recent years, I have avoided non-stick products with coatings that might be unhealthy. I generally use steel and cast iron cookware so I was especially excited to see that these are non-stick without any potentially unhealthy coatings.So the main thing to understand is that they ask you to use low to medium heat and not to preheat the pans without oil. I believe that is to prevent damage to the non-stick surface. However, they are oven safe up to 550 degrees.The non-stick performance is excellent. If you wash and rinse them you barely need to dry the non-stick as all the water runs right off. My wife was especially pleased to make some folded egg very easily.I tried these with gas range and also induction. For the gas range, just watch the flame level and they heat up just as you would expect. For the induction range, they do have a bit of a hot middle effect over the steel heating surface where the edges are notably cooler. That is similar to a normal pan over gas. I was able to control the heat quite minutely over induction while making some French toast. Usually, I end up getting the heat too high or low but I got these browned just right.The lids have a flat style and come with two lid rests. The handles do run a bit close to the lid itself and they advise you in the guide to grab the handle palm facing down. All the handles are very firmly secured and I included photographs so you can see how they are attached.Now one area where this set shines is the accessories. You get a set of magnetic racks that let you put the pans quite compactly on your counter or in a very large cabinet. The lids get a mountable canvas holder that comes with sticker-backed hooks that can be used on a wall or on a large cabinet door.I won’t be throwing away my cast iron skillets, but I certainly will be pulling them out quite a bit less often.Given the wonderful appearance, how easy they are to wash, and because they are a versatile set that covers most stovetop tasks these would make an excellent and memorable wedding gift.” – nh (Source: Amazon)
