The side zipper didn’t and fought to close all the way. I found a gold toned pen to fill the 1/4 in. space at the end. However, after using the side zipper a couple of more days it did glide better. I decided to leave the pen in place. I like the feel of the “leather” and I am a big fan of the wide strap. The name quilted just refers to the pattern as this is not a quilted purse.
