“Nice catio for the money. I bought this for a rescued kitten that needs to be separated from our older bully of a cat. It took me three hours to put it together by myself. There were two pieces that had imperfections, but overall it’s a really sturdy, well built item. It does have a strong smell from the stain, but it’s almost gone now after 18 hours. I would not hesitate to buy another.” – C. Ram (Source: Amazon)
“Cute and Functional. Took some time to put together. Needed wood glue for the dowels to secure a tight fitting. Best to use a drill especially when putting the roof on. Single person can put it together, it just takes some balancing and strategic set up. The smell is a bit overwhelming when you remove from packaging, that would be my only negative about this product. After a few days the smell improved.” – KathrynKathyKate (Source: Amazon)
“Catio enclosure easy to setup & fun for my cat. Enclosure was well packed and arrived undamaged. I took my time putting it together over about 4 hours. The wood appears to be fir which is pretty soft so my advice is to go slow. Assembly was straight forward and the instructions were useful. I would strongly recommend using a battery powered drill with a #2 Phillips drive bit. I couldn’t imagine using a hand held #2 Phillips screwdriver. I supposed it could be done but it would take a lot longer – there are dozens of screws.I relocated the window shelf down about 15 inches to better align with my window opening and hatch door. I used wood shims under the front bottom of the enclosure to compensate for the slope of my porch decking. The enclosure sits nice and tight with no wobbling. One cat took to it right away. Its been about 2 weeks and my 2nd cat is still intimidated by the window hatch door – I think he’ll come around eventually.” – kgurak (Source: Amazon)
“Cats love it. We had to make a few adjustments to how this was used. The front door is on the side where the roof slants backward which I can understand but if you want this pushed up to your house, you probably want the roof slanted AWAY from your home. We ended up having the catio 2 feet from our window so we had to construct a tunnel from the window to the catio. The doors that are pre installed for window access are HUGE and swing outward which just won’t work for window access for us. We had to cut a hole in the wire mesh of the catio and connect our tunnel to it.There was a few places of damage to the wood but nothing major. We will see how this holds up in the next year with our MN winter.” – eliciabinman (Source: Amazon)
“Catio paradise for the kitties. Fairly easy to put together. 100% a two person (or more) job. Comes in two large packages. We’ll worth the joy my kitties have gotten from their safe outdoor paradise. I did improv an opening to use so the kitties could use a window to access the catio.” – Amazon Customer (Source: Amazon)
“Comes in 2 shipments, be patient! This is a great catio. One big box came in the mail one day and we were worried because we were missing half of the items. After combing through the description I realized it says that it comes in 2 cartons. The next box arrived the next day with all remaining parts and the instructions. Using 2 people, it took us around 2-3 hours to fully assemble. The wood isn’t heavy wood, but once you join all the walls and attach the roof it’s sturdy. The wire mesh is small enough that our kitten cannot escape. The door locks worked great with no worry of the door coming open. All of the platforms and the boxes are sturdy. We switched one of the shelves so our cat could have one lower box to hide in and one upper and we had no troubles switching them. I am 5’2” and had no trouble walking into this, it’s just not super deep, roughly 3’ (some people like to put a chair in theirs to sit with their cats, but you couldn’t with this one). My one complaint with this catio is that when assembling, everything is assigned a letter of the alphabet. However, not every piece had a letter on it (either it was written onto the wood or it had a sticker, so sometimes maybe they didn’t write a letter or the sticker must have fallen off) so we kind of had to guess half of the time which piece was which. That, plus the lightweight wood, plus the not-so-prominent shipping info is why I give this only 4 stars. I would still recommend getting this if you didn’t want to build one yourself as it is safe for our cats to play in while still being outside and both of our cats enjoy it.” – Holly Beth Corbin (Source: Amazon)
“Really Great Starter Catio. I am very pleased with this Catio. I bought the “Large” option out of the “Large” and “Extra Large” choices. My Husband assembled in less than 2 hours and the cats love it. It is sturdy enough for its function and I feel confident that my cats are safe while enjoying their outside time in the enclosure. It was fun dressing it up with the turf, ivy, and other decorations from Amazon. Definitely everything I was looking for price and size-wise. Great Purchase!” – Katie (Source: Amazon)
“It will do. Ok, so this was definitely a two person job to assemble the walls and doors. Afterwards, one person can finish the job. Anyway, some times things wouldn’t line up perfectly so you may need to adjust things on your own. If you’re building this it’s best to be a little handy. The size is great for my cats. I had to finish building it outside once the walls were anchored together because if I assembled it inside, I wouldn’t have been able to fit it through my sliding door. Great buy and I hope my cats like it.Update: my cats love it! I Customized a hole for them to walk through so they can use the patio pet door I also got for them.” – Sara Cardonne (Source: Amazon)
“My cat loves it. This was easy enough to put together. Took about two hours and needed an extra person for stability while it’s being assembled. I had to create my own window entrance since the back door for entry was too big and didn’t line up with my window appropriately. We also needed to raise it up, once again simply for our set up. We did use silicone under the roof slates to help prevent any leaking that may have occurred. I’m not sure how the wood will hold up in rain or snow long term but currently it’s amazing so far!” – Mariah (Source: Amazon)
“The cats like it! Took about 2 hours to build. It’s just as it says it is. Cats like it. Probably gonna use some 1x4s to reenforce the edges but it should work great for the cats.” – Jeremiah Bagby (Source: Amazon)
